What will I be doing in class?
Can I purchase an extra cookie kit to take home?
Of course! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class cookie kits to take home to decorate. You can purchase a DIY cookie kit of the class set from the shop here. The kit will be available at the end of class to take home with you. Don’t forget it!
Do I need to know how to bake?
Nope! I will have the cookies pre-made for you at the start of class.
What will I learn in class?
You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies, tricks to fill piping bags and different decorating techniques. Techniques vary depending on the class set.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing but yourself! Everything will be provided for you, including my tasty sugar cookies. If you’re a messy decorator and/or have a fun apron, feel free to bring it along!
What age is best for cookie classes?
Classes are best for ages 7 and up. From youngsters to grandparents – come have some cookie fun with me! Please note: kids ages 8-15 will need an adult taking the class with them. Both kid and adult must have a ticket. If you think your child may be too young to enjoy the in-person class, purchase an extra class kit to take home for them. Also, for classes held in a brewery, individuals under the age of 21 must have a paid adult 21+ accompany them. Due to space restrictions, each individual attending the class must have a paid ticket.
Can just my child take the class?
For children aged 7-15, a paid adult must take the class with them. For teens 16+, adults use your discretion if they’d be able to attend solo. For classes in a brewery, individuals under 21 must have a paid accompanying adult 21+. Parents/guardians attending with children must purchase a ticket for each individual in attendance (kids and adults).
What will I bring home?
By the end of class, you will have created a gorgeous set of cookies ready to dry for 24-48 hours in the take-home box. You can always eat them right away too! You’ll also leave with new skills, memories and fun!
Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?
You can sign up as an individual, with a friend or with a whole group. The more, the merrier! Space is limited to a certain number based on the venues so definitely sign up ASAP.
What if there aren’t enough tickets for my entire crew?
No worries! I also offer private classes for groups of 5+. Contact me for details and to schedule your private class.
Where are the classes located?
The class locations vary based on the venues’ availability but are in the Tri-State area. If you know of a venue that would work well for a class, please let me know!
What if I signed up for a class but can’t make it?
I understand life happens so that’s why I allow you to cancel up until 4 days before the class and receive a refund or transfer to a future class within 1 year of the cancel date. A ticket may only be transferred once.
